I, Overview

 

The unit monitoring system of the wind power plant is responsible for providing the real-time monitoring of the operating data, status, action conditions of the protective device and failure alarm of multiple wind turbines inside the wind field and carrying out the remote control, data recording and report and curve generation for the wind generating set. In the monitoring system of the wind turbine generator, the central monitoring system is operated above the upper computer (server) of the central control room (central control room of the booster station), performs the communication via the lower computer (fan controller) of each wind turbine distributed on the wind power plant and realizes the cluster monitoring of the wind turbines on the whole plant.

 

II, Networking demands of the monitoring communication system of the wind field unit

The company intends to construct a wind power generation project with the scale of 800,000KW in the Northeast China. This wind field constructs 36 sets of 1.5MW draught fans, monitoring center server of the monitoring system of the wind field unit is set inside the central control room of the booster station and each fan control provides the Ethernet interface.

The reliability of the communication between the central monitoring machine of the wind power plant and local control system of the wind driven generator is very important, because it will affect the reliable operation of the monitoring system of the whole wind field unit directly. The project of this wind power plant is located at the poor geographical environment. The wind power plant may easily be invaded by the strong lightning stroke if it is built in the open places. Furthermore, the local climatic environment is comparatively bad and wind power equipment suffers from much mechanical vibration and electromagnetic radiation during the operation. Therefore, the communication equipment of the monitoring system is required to be highly reliable.

This project adopts the AOBO Telecom industrial Ethernet to resolve the control communication transmission problems. A set of AOBO 5023S fiber-optic self-healing loop industrial Ethernet switch is positioned inside the ground control box of the fan and central control room of the booster station respectively and 3 reliable fiber-optic self-healing loop networks are formed by 39 sets of the switches. AOBO Telecom AOBO 5 series of industrial Ethernet switches have the function of self-healing loop network, apply the ABRing ® patented technology, realize the rapid loop network self-healing and switching when the communication fiber inside the loop network or switch breaks down for any reason, and achieve the reliable communication, with the self-healing time of the loop network less than 100ms; AOBO 5 series of industrial Ethernet switches are specially developed for the adverse climate and industrial operating environment and satisfy the requirements in environmental adaptability, anti-electromagnetic interference, lightning protection and communication reliability properly.
